Westbrook CC Open Water Referral Course starting April 13, 2024

We are excited to be partnering with the Westbrook Community Center to offer an Open Water Scuba referral Course. This course provides you with the academic and confined water training portion of the full Open Water Certification course. As a reminder, the final four open water dives for certification are not included.

Tuition for the Open Water Scuba referral course is $980.00 and is broken into two portions:

$230.00 for the eLearning program which you will purchase from PADI.com. Upon completion of the eLearning portion, you’ll earn a certificate of completion.

$750 for the course tuition.

Completion of the PADI eLearning is required to participate in the pool sessions.

The Open Water Referral Course will consist of three (3) 4-hour training sessions:

SESSION 1: Academic Review, PADI’s Required Quick Quiz & Intro to Scuba in the Pool

SESSION 2 & 3: Pool Training Exercises

Upon successful completion of the academic training and required confined water training exercises, the Open Water Referral documentation will be earned. This document allows you to complete the remaining four open water dives with a PADI instructor within one year at a destination of your choice. The fees for the open water are not included in this program’s fees and may vary.

Before participating in any of the pool training sessions, you must submit a clear medical statement or a medical statement signed by a physician. Make sure you download a copy of the Medical Form before leaving this page. This item is only for the in-person part of the Open Water Scuba Referral Course.

Registration is required; we will be hosting these sessions at the Westbrook Community Center pool (426 Bridge St, Westbrook, ME 04092). Rental equipment is included in registration fees.
